Students applying to the Learning Skills Program do not take the SSAT, but need a comprehensive psycho-educational evaluation (WISC-IV) completed by a licensed psychologist within the last two years. The testing should assess the student in the following areas: intellectual ability, information processing, learning styles, academic achievement, and social and emotional adjustment. After this testing, along with current grades and IEP, is reviewed, the student may be invited to sit for an evaluation by Solebury’s Director of the L.S. Program. There is a $150 fee for the evaluation. At the conclusion of this evaluation the Director explains the test results, provides a report of the results, and explains what his report to the admissions committee will include. Finally, the admissions committee, as they do with all applicants, will review the student and make a final determination about acceptance.
