Meet the Admissions Office

Scott Eckstein

Director of Admission
B.A. University of Pennsylvania
I enjoy working closely with prospective students and their families. I've been here at Solebury School since fall 1993 as an English and History teacher.  From 1999 - 2008, I served as Director of the Middle School while continuing to teach.  In addition, since 1997 I have been Director of the Summer Day Camp. I have also coached the girls varsity softball team, girls and boys basketball, and boys soccer teams.
As the Director of the Middle School, I had the chance to oversee the academic and social lives of our students and work with them, their teachers, and their parents to further their development, and prepare them for the challenges of the upper school. I enjoy being part of the Solebury family, and of having this be my home. I look forward to showing you what a special place this is.

Janice Poinsett

Associate Director of Admission

Mercer County Community College

I’ve been a part of Solebury School’s administrative staff since September, 1988 and have been involved in many aspects of the school. I’ve worked in Admissions and been a part of the Middle States evaluation. I’ve served on the faculty salary review committee and been a member of our marketing team. I can also proudly say that I’ve been a Solebury parent for six years, mother of two alumni, Josh ’99 and Jeremy ’01. I enjoy the diversity of my job while assisting our families through the admission process as they all have a unique story to tell. I enjoy the stimulation of working in a creative, learning environment with a dynamic group of people.

Bert Johnson

Assistant Director of Admission

B.A. Temple University

In May, 2003, I joined the school staff as the Assistant Director of Admission. It has been a great opportunity for me to meet many new parents and students during tours and interviews of the school campus. When I travel abroad, I am there to recruit new students for our excellent English as a Second Language Program. Another important aspect of my position is the chance to work with our student guides (Sherpas) as well as working with the students and teachers on our Diversity Committee.

Meg Perry

Admissions Associate
B.S. Villanova University

In July of 2009, I joined the Solebury School staff working in the Admissions Department.  My background is in Human Resources and recruitment so joining the Admissions team has been a natural fit for me.  My position allows me to meet prospective students and their families as they begin their journey exploring Solebury School.
