Over 100 alumni attended Solebury School's Alumni Reunion Weekend 2012 … and it was lively. It was fun to see representatives from the 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40 and 45th Reunion Classes. But it was clear that the 1950’s and 60’s classes ruled the weekend. There were over 50 alumni represented in those two decades with over 20 from the class of 1962 alone! A special nod to our wisest veteran alumnus, Tom Cooper '41 and Chris White ’62 who came all the way from Australia. We must also mention Sally Bowie ‘62, Toni Peters ‘62 and Chuck Schwartz ‘52 who rallied great numbers from their class and era to join them for a very special weekend … from the beginning to the end. We enjoyed a Reception at the home of Tom and Rebecca Wilschutz, dinner at Hotel du Village (aka lower campus), a peaceful and intimate Service in the Memorial Garden behind Founders Library, great meals in the Herbert Boyd Dining Hall and at Solebury School's 'Cinco de Mayo' Dinner Auction in the John D. Brown Athletic Center, also where a big crowd assembled to honor Bill Berkeley, Neil MacLean, Barbara Johnstone, and the 1997-98 Solebury School's Boys Basketball Team at the Athletic Hall of Fame Ceremony. Folks also found time for the Burger and Beer Bash to relax with friends, faculty and staff. As a result, the weekend was merry as well as lovely … and of course it was lively right to the end. Thank you to everyone who attended and participated in the fun.
