Arts Festival Week Schedule, April 17-21


Monday, April 17

  • 9:30am- 2:00pm: Morningstar Studios field trip. Students will once again have the opportunity to win a slot recording and working with Grammy Award-winning engineer, Glenn Barrett, at Morningstar. Some students will record, others will come along to get an understanding of how modern recording works.
  • 10:15am-12:10pm in the Crib: Arts and Crafts
  • 12:15pm-1:35pm in the Ceramics Room: Visiting ceramic artist Gloria Kosco will teach a Glazing with Ceramics class (for an upcoming salt fire).
  • 12:15pm-1:35pm in the Photo Room: Visiting commercial and editorial photographer Steve Boyle, whose clients range from ESPN the Magazine to Gatorade to Runner's World magazine.


Tuesday, April 18

  • 10:15am-12:10pm in the Crib: Arts and Crafts
  • 10:30am-11:35am in Studio A: Skype session with film composer Siddartha Khosla. Sidd is the composer for the hit television shows "This Is Us" and "The Royals."
  • 12:15pm-1:35pm in the Ceramics Room: Visiting ceramic artist Gloria Kosco will teach a Glazing with Ceramics class (for upcoming salt fire).
  • 7:00pm in the Founders Library: A reception and discussion with bestselling author Steven Rowley, who wrote Lily and the Octopus. This free event is open to the public; RSVP to kroycroft@solebury.org.

  • 10:15am-12:10pm in the Crib: Arts and Crafts
  • 12:15pm-1:35pm in the Ceramics Room: Visiting ceramic artist Gloria Kosco will teach a Glazing with Ceramics class (for upcoming salt fire).


Friday, April 21

  • 10:15am-12:10pm in the Crib: Arts and Crafts
  • 1:40pm-3:00pm: WORKSHOP DAY, featuring 20+ workshops across campus, including Tile Making, Pleinair Watercolor, Tie Dye, Mosaic, Printmaking, Entrepreneurship, Special Effects Makeup, Dance, Photograms and much much more!

Please note: Coffeehouse has been moved from April 21 to Thursday, April 27 at 7:30pm in the Crib!
