Lights, Camera, Auction!
Come celebrate with the entire school community on May 1st at 5:30 PM, when the John D. Brown Athletic Center opens for Lights, Camera, Auction! Many interesting & exciting items have been donated for what is sure to be a fun and lively event—one that you won’t want to miss.
To make it easier for you to attend-- and to encourage you to ask your friends to join too-- we are offering a group discount this year. Reserve a full table for 10 by April 1, and your cost will be only $40 per ticket. Enjoy the evening with a table of old friends, or the parents you’ve met though Solebury sports and activities. Everyone over 21 years of age is welcome. Contact the Development office to make a reservation.
Can’t Think Of A Donation?
Do you have a special skill or talent? Do you have access to a vacation home? Do you have a friend or family member who might donate an item or service? You can:
* Donate an item or service to be auctioned
jewelry, pottery, textiles, wine baskets, sports tickets, baking, gardening, lessons…
*Procure an item, service, or ad from a place you frequent
restaurant, B&B, specialty shop, dentist, vet…
*Be a sponsor to help defray auction expenses. Details are on the donation form.
*Buy an ad in the auction catalog
advertise your business, write a note to a special teacher, congratulate your student…
*Plan to attend the auction - It’s a fantastic evening you won’t want to miss!
What Should I Wear? What Should I Bring?
You’ll see the full range of attire at the auction -- from casual to dressy. Wear what you feel great in, and remember that you’ll be on your feet during the pre-dinner hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and silent auction. Be sure to bring some cash for the bar, and cash, check or credit card for your purchases. Other than that, just bring yourself, your friends, and a fun-loving attitude!
Can’t Attend The Auction?
*We accept absentee bids on any item in the catalog.
*Buy a ticket (or two) for the "Best of the Live" Drawing. For $50 you get a chance to win your choice of the valuable live auction items, before bidding begins. Only 100 tickets will be sold, so the odds are terrific.
*Buy a chance to win the regular prize drawing. Tickets are $10 each or 4 for $30. You just might win $500 cash or a Flip Video camera!
