CIT Program

General Information

Our Counselor in Training Program (CIT) is specifically designed for students entering 8th grade in the fall. CITs must commit to at least five full weeks of camp.

Goals of the program

The CIT program is designed so that young people have fun while developing the skills and confidence necessary to work with young children. This program is useful for any child who is considering spending their summers as a camp counselor, or even for anyone who plans to do some babysitting.

Enrollment in the program is capped at 15 participants to ensure the most effective personal training possible.

Structure of the program

CIT’s will spend their mornings working with their “Trainer”. Through a variety of group building games, discussion, role plays, trips, and other activities, they will learn how to work with others most effectively, how to resolve conflicts, and how to run games and activities for young people.
