The Boarding School experience is a pivotal one in the life of a young person. We look forward to returning to most of our pre-pandemic practices in our dormitories and congregate living areas for the 2021-22 school year, including off-campus weekend trips, resuming visitation between dormitory lounges, in-person dormitory gatherings, weekend visits to home and day student houses, activities, and more. Because the dormitory is our boarding students’ home away from home, mask wearing will be optional in the dormitory for the students who live there. While masks are optional for each dorm’s residents and its dorm parents, they are required for all others in that residential space.
Solebury School will continue to use REACH, an incredibly robust student software application that assists in managing check-ins, activity signups, our dorm reward system, leave requests, and much more.
The Residential Life handbook has detailed information around dormitory life, responsibilities and, expectations - it should be reviewed by all boarding families and is available behind the parent portal.
We are being extremely mindful of the dorm density as new (8:30am - 10:30 am) and returning (10:30am - 12:00pm) students move-in on Wednesday, September 8th. In an effort to ensure the safety of all, we are requiring students and families to wear masks as they enter and move into the space. In addition to this, we have created a packing list as students prepare to pack for
