We are pleased to report that our 2019 auction, Friday Night Fever: A Disco Party, was incredibly successful, raising nearly $95,000 for Solebury School. Those proceeds will benefit every member of our community, both today and in the future.
In addition to helping to create the IDEA Lab, the STEAM space that will soon occupy the area that is now the Middle School Lounge, proceeds from the auction will benefit the Annual Fund and several projects where a smaller investment can make a big difference, including:
- A much-needed upgrade to the sound system in the PAC, improving that experience for our performers, speakers and audiences.
- A fund to provide speakers for our community during the upcoming school year.
- A fund to provide financial aid for students with demonstrated financial need to participate in our cultural and extra-curricular trips during breaks and long weekends.
- Replacing the remaining old and/or damaged dining hall chairs (a project we started last year).
- A contribution, which will be matched dollar for dollar, to the Page and Otto Marx Jr Foundation's endowed fund at Solebury, which provides critical tuition support for students of color with demonstrated financial need.
