On January 26, 2018, our seniors, faculty, staff, and board members indulged in a special, white-tablecloth-style dinner prepared by our fabulous chefs and graciously served by our Middle School students, who will one day be the seated guests. An annual Solebury School tradition, this dinner celebrates our seniors in a meaningful way. It gives them a formal opportunity to spend time with our faculty and staff well ahead of graduation, but also a chance to get to know our board members, who are deeply connected to the School.
After dinner, seniors were inducted into our Alumni Association with a formal pinning ceremony, several people spoke (including this year's senior speakers Will Gao, Lakumi Dias, and Josh Zolkewitz), and then the podium opened for those who also wanted time at the microphone. Memories were shared that invoked laughter as well as happy tears, and heartfelt tributes were offered to those who've made a difference in other's lives.
Here's a glimpse into this special night. Photos taken by Kelli Abdoney.
