Be Part of Our Summer Programs 2018 Fair
Sunday, January 28th, 1:00-3:00pm
Promote Your Summer Program!
Solebury School is hosting its 2nd annual Summer Programs Fair, aimed exclusively at middle and high school students. This event will be held in our modern, spacious Athletic Center at Solebury School, a co-ed boarding and day school in New Hope, PA, with approximately 235 students from around the globe.
- Promote your program in an affluent area in close proximity to many large middle and high schools in Bucks County, Princeton, and the surrounding areas
- In Bucks County, academic excellence and cross-cultural exchanges are valued
- Participating programs must target primarily middle and high school students (6th-12th graders)
- 100% of all registration fees go directly towards fair marketing and set up
Last year, more than 20 summer programs were represented and over 200 people attended the fair.
The registration deadline has been extended to January 19, 2018.
Registration includes an 8-foot table (no tablecloth), a chair, and advertising for the fair.
To draw more families to the fair, Solebury School will host a free expert panel, "Screen Time and Your Children: The Benefits and Challenges," that vendors are welcome to join.
Can kids really become addicted to their screens? How do they use technology at school? How much screen time is too much? Join us as a panel of three experts in their field discuss these questions and more.
Julie Laing is the School Counselor at Solebury School and is a nationally certified Masters level clinician who has worked in both mental health and school settings for 16 years. Working closely with children and teens gives her a unique perspective on how social media and technology has evolved and the way kids approach and react to the world around them.
Dr. Christine Markow is a psychologist who has worked with teens and adults with addictions, including technology.
Dr. Michael McKenna has been the principal at New Hope-Solebury Upper Elementary School since 2015, as well as an adjunct professor at Gwynedd Mercy University. Previously, he was an elementary teacher, reading specialist, and administrator. He has experience working on Digital Literacy projects, as well as seeing technology used by students.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
Solebury School will make every effort to host the fair on January 28th, however, we cannot predict unforeseen events (i.e. weather). The School will not be able to reschedule the fair. No refunds for registration or advertising fees will be given after December 15th.
