This event is hosted by Teach2Serve's Cohort 8, whose focus is on gun safety and encouraging dialogue about how we can all work together to reduce gun violence. It is our belief that no one should feel unsafe in their schools and communities. This 5K run/walk (and one-mile fun run for kids) was created to raise awareness about gun safety and to raise funds for the Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund which "seeks to improve our understanding of the causes of gun violence and the means to reduce it – by conducting groundbreaking original research, developing evidence-based policies, and communicating this knowledge in the courts and the court of public opinion."
After the run/walk, there will be informational booths and presenters.
Cohort 8 welcomes all volunteers for the 5k — parents, students, and members of the community. If you'd like to help, please contact them at teach2serve@solebury.org.
Please Sign this Liability Form

Running the 5k? Get sponsors!
If you are a runner participating in this event, help us spread the word, increase dialogue, and raise more money for this important cause. Print out this sponsor sheet and ask your friends, family, and neighbors if they would be willing to sponsor you. Record the names of sponsors, collect the money, and turn it in at the event registration on October 28. Prizes will be given to the runner who gets the most sponsors and the runner who raises the most money.
Checks should be made out to Solebury School with Teach2Serve 5k in the memo line. Those who would like to donate directly to the cause can use the online registration link.
Thank you!
