I arrived at Solebury School in 1996. Prior to my arrival at Solebury, I worked as a Naturalist at the Greenkill Environmental Education Center, I was a Student Tour Director for Musiker Tours, and a Wilderness Trip Leader for SUNY Cortland and Hamilton College.
Solebury offers teachers the opportunity to engage with students in a variety of ways- academically, socially, etc. It also provides a great opportunity to continually challenge yourself and grow professionally. One of the things I love about the school is that both students and teachers are encouraged to discover and pursue their passions with vigor. Several years ago I became particularly interested in the uses of technology in the classroom. The school encouraged me to do graduate work to increase my expertise, and now, in addition to using this technology extensively in my own classes, I am a resource for teachers and departments to investigate ways to use this technology to enhance learning.
