Meet the Artists

Nick Lynch ’21
Music courses through Nick's veins. He joined Rock Band his freshman year and Jazz Roots his sophomore year, participating in both ever since. Nick produces music and plays guitar, bass, and drums. His experience in producing and playing music is mainly in the pop, soul, R&B, jazz, and rock genres. He has supplemented his Solebury music experiences with private lessons and attended the Berklee Aspire program in the summer of 2019. Nick was the proud 2020 recipient of the Song Craft Award, an award given to a student who shows great promise as a songwriter and has demonstrated this in a body of work.

Nick is currently working on a self-produced debut album and plans to attend USC Thornton School of Music in the fall. At the concert, he played music from artists such as Thundercat, John Mayer, Frank Ocean, Raveena, Tom Misch, as well as some original works.

Sophie Rivkin-Fish ’21

Sophie uses music as a way to make sense of the world and has been singing her whole life. She played the violin for several years as a child and started to write music when she was 12 years old. She later picked up guitar and piano, but uses her vocals as her primary instrument. Sophie has performed in 11 musicals and currently participates in Chorus and Jazz Roots Ensemble.

This past summer Sophie participated in two online courses: a Shakespeare Zoom Camp and a Music Technology course. She has also attended a music workshop at UNC, working with their professors and learning music theory, along with private music theory and vocal performance classes outside of school.

Sophie plans to continue studying music in college and eventually go into a career that involves performing.
