Centennial
Solebury School is celebrating a century of learning and a lifetime of community.
On October 1, 2025, the School will mark 100 years since our first day of classes.
Solebury opened its doors in rented quarters September 1925 with four boys and four teachers. A year later, the founders purchased its present location, the Michener Farm, and Solebury School as we know it has continued to grow ever since.
YOUR Story Matters.
Whether your passion was improving our community, performing in the theater, or playing your favorite sport, we want to hear about your time at Solebury School.
“...as I carried a platter of roast beef to the table I noticed that we were one piece short. The last person at the table was going to miss out, and that one person short was going to be me. Overwhelmed by hunger, I grabbed a piece of meat for my plate before serving everyone at the table. Bill [Berkeley] saw me, and quite naturally, tossed me out of the dining hall.”
