Plans for 2020-21 School Year

Solebury’s leadership, faculty, and staff are confident that the work we have done over the past few months will allow us to offer safety, the strong academic program our students deserve, and a rich and vibrant experience to our students. Our plans include:

  1. The ability for students to be on campus every day, and to have most of their classes live in the classroom.

  2. The ability for students to do live, synchronous classes remotely if that is their preference.

  3. Protocols governing life in and out of the classroom to prioritize the safety of the community, relying on credible resources and data, including:

    • Physical Distancing of at least six feet

    • Face coverings/masks

    • Cleaning and disinfecting throughout campus according to CDC guidelines

    • Increased focus on ventilation, circulation of outside air

    • Increased access to hand sanitizer and encouragement of hand washing

    • Daily wellness checks including temperature checks and symptom-screening

    • Creation and maintenance of student “cohorts” in the dorms

    • Eliminate shared equipment as much as possible

    • Decreased on-campus presence of visitors

    • Outdoor spaces utilized to full potential

  4. A wonderful array of after school activity programs, clubs, and social events that will nurture our boarding and day students through both in-person and online activities and opportunities to learn and grow as a community.
