FAQs

When do we choose fall classes?

By May 25, we will share our 2018-2019 Academic Bulletin as well as the forms for choosing courses for the 2018-2019 school year. Our May 30 webinar for new 9th grade families will help answer any questions you may have.

At the moment, Director of Studies Rick Tony is busily working with our seniors and all current students helping them put the finishing touch on a successful school year. Once graduation happens on June 10, he's excited to turn all of his attention to our new families and students and help you choose courses. Rick can be reached at rtony@solebury.org or 215.862.5261.

Course selection forms aren't due until Friday, July 6.

When do we choose fall sports and activities?

These choices will be offered via the back-to-school forms that will be posted on Friday, June 22.

When will summer reading lists and assignments be posted?

All summer reading lists and assignments for grades 7-12 will be shared in mid-June; we will post links to them here.

When will school supply lists be posted?

Middle School Director Cari Nelson shares a list at the start of summer; we will post a link to it here then. For 9th-12th grades, each teacher will share their own supply lists during the first week of school.

At our school store, students can buy much of what they'll need in the classroom, paid through their student activity fund.

Will my child need a laptop?

We ask that all students come to school with a device (not just a smartphone). Please review Solebury School's Individual Device Policy, which lists the minimum requirements and some recommended devices. If you any questions, please email helpdesk@solebury.org.

Where will my international student stay during fall sports pre-season, before the dorms are open?

While Solebury School's dorms won't be open for pre-season, Rob Eichem, Director of Athletics, will arrange for any boarding students participating in fall sports pre-season to stay with another athlete's family.

We hope all will be able to attend. For more information, please contact Rob Eichem at reichem@solebury.org or 215.862.5261.

How do I arrange for daily transportation for my day student?

There are three options for daily transportation to Solebury School. Please view them here and complete this form and mail it to: Business Office, Solebury School, 6832 Phillips Mill Road, New Hope, PA 18938. Or, scan and email the completed form to businessoffice@solebury.org. Thank you!

If you have any questions, you can contact Peter Redmond, Director of Transportation, at predmond@solebury.org or at 609.577.2466.

When will my student receive a solebury.org email address?

New students will receive their solebury.org email addresses in person at Registration and Orientation on September 4 and 5. Rest assured, they won't need it until then.
