Academics

At Solebury, students discover and pursue their passions through an academic program that combines strong college preparation with the time and flexibility to explore new ideas and interests.

With a 6:1 student-to-teacher ratio, class sizes are small. This gives students the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with faculty who challenge them to develop their critical thinking and support their growth as independent learners.

Our expansive curriculum includes more than 30 AP and Honors courses, more than 50 arts electives, and offerings across STEM, humanities, world languages and the arts. Students have freedom to explore new interests while pursuing academic subjects in greater depth. Across every discipline, they learn to think critically, solve complex problems, and advocate confidently for themselves.

Learning extends beyond the classroom—many of our classrooms open directly to the outdoors. Our beautiful 140-acre campus becomes an extension of the learning experience, offering spaces for field research, discussion, and immersive learning.

Each student’s path to graduation is unique. We never lose sight of the individual, valuing all the diverse experiences, perspectives, and talents that strengthen our community. Students leave Solebury prepared for college and empowered to lead with confidence in the world.

When I think of the Solebury community, it's impossible to separate my connection to students and staff from the connection we foster with the space itself. In the winter, we rush outdoors between classes to savor the early sprinklings of snow. When May arrives, we pick strawberries in the community garden and eat in sun below blooming trees. A Solebury education - and social experience - is completely tied to our surroundings and the beauty of the campus.
