Arts
Visual and Performing Arts
The pursuit of the arts is part of a balanced life. Studies show pursuing creative endeavors enhances cognitive abilities in other academic disciplines. In support of this, we have created a schedule where two class periods primarily focus on art, so that students can explore the arts while still taking a full and challenging academic program. While all of our students leave with an appreciation of the arts, several of our graduates each year generally go on to study the arts in college.
Our location in Bucks County, PA is a nationally recognized hub for artists and artistic expression — one of the reasons why Solebury School has been known for its strong arts program since its founding in 1925.
Visual Arts
You can take introductory classes which provide classical training in drawing, painting, ceramics, and photography, and then go on to pursue any of these disciplines at a higher level.
Solebury Theater Collective (STC)
Students can explore the arts while still taking a full and challenging academic schedule. We offer visual arts, theater, music, dance and film programs.
Music
These classes are taught by highly skilled teachers who are working music professionals with real-world experience in the music industry and performance arena.
Dance
At Solebury School, students can study dance during the academic day and/or as an after-school activity.
Film
Our film courses also teach invaluable real-life skills such as project management, learning to work in groups, and how to take criticism.
