She Kills Monsters by Qui Nguyen

She Kills Monsters Poster

November 6 - 9, 2025

A comedic romp into the world of fantasy role-playing games She Kills Monsters tells the story of Agnes Evans as she leaves her childhood home in Ohio following the death of her teenage sister Tilly. When Agnes finds Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook; however, she stumbles into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was Tilly’s refuge.

In this high-octane dramatic comedy laden with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres, and ‘90s pop culture, acclaimed playwright Qui Nguyen offers a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all.

Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (School Edition)

Music and Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, Book by Hugh Wheeler

An infamous tale, Sweeney Todd, an unjustly exiled barber, returns to nineteenth-century London, seeking vengeance against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife. The road to revenge leads Todd to Mrs. Lovett, a resourceful proprietress of a failing pie shop, above which he opens a new barber practice. Mrs. Lovett's luck sharply shifts when Todd's thirst for blood inspires the integration of an ingredient into her meat pies that has the people of London lining up... and the carnage has only just begun!

STC 2024-2025 Season

Alice By Heart

Alice By Heart

February 20-23, 2025

From the Tony® and Grammy® award-winning creators of Spring Awakening, Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik, and co-written by Jessie Nelson (Waitress), Alice by Heart is a touching musical inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

In the rubble of the London Blitz of World War II, Alice Spencer’s budding teen life is turned upside down, and she and her dear friend Alfred are forced to take shelter in an underground tube station. When the ailing Alfred is quarantined, Alice encourages him to escape with her into their cherished book and journey down the rabbit hole to Wonderland.

As they travel through the tale, Alice by Heart explores the poignancy of first love, coming to terms with loss, and finding the courage to move forward. This gorgeous musical encourages us all to celebrate the transformational power of the imagination, even in the harshest of times.

Evil Dead The Musical High School Version

Evil Dead The Musical High School Version

November 6 - 10, 2024

Five college students go to an abandoned cabin in the woods and accidentally unleash an evil force that turns them all into demons. It’s up to Ash (a housewares employee turned demon-killing hero) and his trusty chainsaw to save the day!

Based on the cult classic films The Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2, Evil Dead The Musical is a hysterical theatrical experience for high school audiences and performers. The lyrics and dialogue have been slightly changed, opting for some of the high school and some of the unedited versions, keeping all of Evil Dead's zany spirit (un)alive.

The Barn Theater

Solebury School's Barn Theater has undergone a transformation during the last decade, with all new seating, an improved sound system, a new tech booth installed to support our Solebury Theatre Collective's increasingly ambitious productions, and a new, state-of-the-art lighting system used by professional theaters, as well as college theaters. The most recent additions are all-new theatrical masking curtains and a 'universal dressing room,' allowing all of our performers to feel welcome, safe, and included during our productions.
